Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 in England under the direction of guitarist Jimmy Page. Over the next twelve years the band achieved world-wide fame and sold over 200 million albums. Jimmy Page is considered by many to be one of the best guitarists in the world.
Led Zeppelin's sound was heavily guitar-based and blues-influenced. Consequently, many of the chords you will find on this site will be related in some way to blues music. At some points you may need to tune your guitar outside of standard tuning. Jimmy Page enjoyed using the form DADGAD for several famous songs including Kashmir and Black Mountain Side. If you've never tried this tuning before it's well worth the effort.
